For the Alumni bank logo, I was thinking of using scales as the main focus of the logo, with the name underneath.

- Merchandise (Mugs, T-shirts etc)
further requirements
I am targetting both current college students and alumni. I want a smart, young, modern look, but also one that is playful and accessible. Also, I would like to be able to customize the logo for a given school. So if the logo has the name in it, there should be an easy way to add an element with the given school's name or logo. That way when one goes to a school specific section of the site, we won't lose the brand/identity of the entire project, but will connect it more closely to that community. Also, I might be looking for a designer to redo my entire look of the site, I am just starting with a logo to see how this works. the site is at www.thealumnibank.com. Thanks!

Lateral thinking
Today we did some exercise's on lateral thinking. In this exercise we had to remove only eight match sticks from the picture on the right, to make two squares that aren't touching each other, the outcome was as the image on the left shows.
We did this as a means of practice for our brains, to encourage our brains to think outside the box. This exercise for our brain was to help us with thinking and planning.
Catch phrase

In our class, we got into different groups, and each group was given a catch phrase which they then have to create an image representing that catch phrase for others in the class to guess what the exact catch phrase for the image was.
My group's catch phrase was "Over the moon" and this is the image we created to represent it.
The point of this exercise was to challenge our brains to figure out what each group's images' catch phrase was. Through this process, we think quickly to try and piece together possible meanings the image had. So even if we were wrong, it still challenged us to think quickly and deeply.
